History

Background

Association of Clinical Researchers and Educators is a newly formed coalition of investigators and instructors who plan to participate actively in the dialogue defining the relationships between industry, academic centers, researchers and practitioners. ACRE members believe that at the present time, policy makers and the public are only being told one side of the story driven primarily by the interests of cost containment. But there has not been an organized effort to provide a more fully balanced view that also takes into account the interests of patient care and the need for research and educational advances in many critical areas of medicine.
